Dr Bose — AI Policy leader 2025
A proud moment for the IIHM family — Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman of the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) worldwide, has been honoured with The Economic Times AI Policy Leader of the Year 2025 award at the inaugural ET Making AI Work Awards held in Bengaluru. This prestigious recognition celebrates Dr. Bose’s visionary leadership in shaping India’s AI-driven education and hospitality ecosystem. Under his pioneering guidance, IIHM has transformed from an institution into a global innovation hub — where AI, empathy, and sustainability converge to redefine the future of hospitality learning.
Among his groundbreaking initiatives are NamAIste Hospitality GPT — the world’s first generative AI engine for the hospitality industry, GreenRoute Sustainable Travel GPT for carbon-minimal itinerary design, and the SDG GPT Builder, which empowers students to create AI-driven sustainability projects.
Receiving the award, Dr. Bose remarked, “This recognition validates a larger idea — that policy leadership is not confined to government corridors. It can emerge from classrooms, labs, and institutions that dare to reimagine learning through technology.”
Dr. Bose’s human-centred approach to AI — where technology empowers people instead of replacing them — continues to inspire educators, innovators, and policymakers worldwide. As the world debates the ethics and role of AI, IIHM, under his leadership, stands as a shining example of intelligent and humane innovation.
