AI Leap: The Future Begins
IIHM unveils the national AI Manifesto to power a new generation of skilled, ethical, and future-ready learners.
The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), in association with Indismart Digital, marked a defining moment on 28 November 2025 with the global launch of AI-LEAP — the National AI Literacy Education Acceleration Program — and India’s first comprehensive AI in Education Manifesto. Hosted at the IIHM Global Campus and streamed live across the world, the event brought together industry leaders, global educators, and students from across IIHM campuses to witness this historic milestone in preparing India’s youth for an AI-driven future.
In his keynote address, IIHM Chairman Dr Suborno Bose described the initiative as “India’s collective leap of faith into a future shaped by imagination, integrity, and intelligent innovation” – reinforcing IIHM’s commitment to shaping responsible, future-ready professionals.

The AI Manifesto outlines a national framework for responsible, inclusive, and values-based AI literacy, rooted in the belief that technology must empower humanity. It highlights core principles such as ethical use of AI, hands-on learning, creativity, and student-driven innovation.
In his address, Prof. David Foskett OBE observed that AI should “guide us to be more human… an adventure into the future that can transform work but never replace emotional intelligence.”
Shri Sutirtha Bhattacharya, Chairman of WEBEL, praised the initiative and highlighted India’s strength in data and digital innovation, adding that AI Leap would help students progress “in leaps and bounds, with an ethical and integrated approach to the future.”
Representing the global hospitality industry, Tanumoy Ghosh, Head of Generative AI at Hyatt, emphasised, “AI is an enabler… we must embrace it to build cutting-edge, colleague-centric solutions.”
The event also featured the live introduction of India’s first education-focused Competitive Prep GPT, developed by Indismart Digital, followed by a fireside chat with Dr. Bose and Sanjoy Chatterjee on AGI, ethical AI usage, and industry applications.

The ceremony concluded with a Students’ AI Oath led by Mr. Preetam Chaudhury, closing remarks by Mr. Abdullah Ahmed, and learners across all campuses signing the national AI pledge—marking the beginning of a new movement in India’s AI journey.

AI-LEAP aims to expand AI literacy nationwide through school outreach, teacher training, and student-led innovation—positioning India not just as a user of AI, but as a creator of real-world, human-centred solutions.
