In a milestone moment, the 30th edition of The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence was held on August 23, 2025—presented by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in association with The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Adamas University, and Exide. Held in two sessions at South City International School, the ceremony celebrated resilience, determination, and the spirit of learning.
Launched in 1996 by The Telegraph Education Foundation, these Awards began as a noble initiative to honour school communities for meaningful contributions. Over time, it has evolved into a movement—acknowledging not only academic achievement, but also courage, social responsibility, and innovation in education.
This year’s edition saw participation from 225 schools and awarded scholarships to approximately 350 students across two ceremonies. The rigorous selection process entailed reviewing over 20,000 pages of applications, portfolios, and photographs. A distinguished panel—including educator Sukanta Chaudhuri, scientist Parthasarathi Ghose, historian Uma Dasgupta, and others—ensured a fair and inclusive evaluation process.
IIHM’s involvement highlights its commitment to holistic education and community upliftment. As presenting partner, IIHM elevates the event’s visibility and legitimacy, reinforcing the Awards’ mission of nurturing not just excellence, but empathy and perseverance.
