Intra-College Annual Swimming Competition
IIHM and IIHS students came together for the much-awaited Intra-College Annual Swimming Competition held on 30th August 2025 at Bidhannagar Municipal Sports Academy Swimming Pool, Central Park. The event saw participation from students across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, along with IIHS students, making it an exciting and spirited competition.
The contest featured Butterfly, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle Relay events in both boys’ and girls’ categories. The enthusiasm was infectious as the stands echoed with cheers, especially when the first years challenged the seniors, creating moments of fun and friendly rivalry.
In the Boys’ Freestyle, Anirban Ghosh (1A) took 1st place, followed by Shamik Bhadra (1B) and Md. Akib Khan [IIHS (7)]. Boys’ Breaststroke was won by Moitreyo Chatterjee (FP2), with Arzyadeep Halder (1B) and Divyansh Mallah (2A) in 2nd and 3rd. In Backstroke, Anirban Ghosh (1A) secured 1st, Moitreyo Chatterjee (FP2) 2nd, and Arzyadeep Halder (1B) 3rd. Boys’ Butterfly was claimed by Arzyadeep Halder (1B). Among the girls, Freestyle winners were Asu Anvita Naidu (1D) in 1st place and Soma Biswas [IIHS (2)] in 2nd.
The event was more than just a competition—it was a refreshing break from academics, a showcase of talent, and a celebration of student life. At IIHM, the focus goes beyond academics, ensuring overall growth and development through sports, cultural, and skill-based engagements.
