In a momentous step forward in IIHM’s journey of expanding hospitality education offerings to the growing and diverse aspirations of young India, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between VFS Global Academy and IIHM’s learning arm, Indismart Learning Private Limited, for the introduction of a truly pathbreaking Luxury Retail Management Programme.
The MOA was signed between our Chairman, Dr Suborno Bose, and Mr Amit Saincher, representative of the VFS Global Academy at Kolkata, a few minutes ago.
VFS Global Academy and ILPL will design and deliver an industry-first program that creates the next generation of luxury retail managers in India.
- VFS Global Academy will bring in its global expertise by designing the curriculum, providing highly qualified faculty with rich luxury retail experience, organising guest lectures with senior leaders from the world’s top luxury brands, and facilitating internships and final placements with premium retail houses. They will also co-develop assessment frameworks and issue joint certifications with ILPL—ensuring global recognition for our graduates.
- Indismart Learning Private Limited (ILPL), on its part, will provide the classrooms, campus infrastructure, and nationwide student connection. With access to ILPL campuses, marketing support, and on-ground promotional events, the programme is set to roll out seamlessly across two cities initially. Students will not only learn inside the classroom but also engage directly with the luxury retail ecosystem through events and webinars with brand leaders.
Together, this partnership bridges global expertise with national reach—an alliance that promises to set new benchmarks in luxury retail education.
This will roll out in our Delhi and Bangalore campuses initially. We will observe the learnings and takeaways before taking a call on expanding this to other locations.
