AI Summit Week at IIHM

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) turned into a vibrant hub of innovation during AI Week as campuses across India celebrated the student-led Global Hospitality AI Summit. Held in alignment with the prestigious Global India AI Impact Summit 2026 at the iconic Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, the IIHM AI NamAIste Hospitality Youth Impact Summit reflected how the hospitality industry is being reimagined through artificial intelligence.

The summit, inaugurated with a powerful keynote by Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman, IIHM & Indismart Group, was not just about discussions — it was about demonstrations. Across Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Goa, Bengaluru, Pune, Siliguri, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Delhi campuses, third-year students — many of whom already hold job offer letters after successfully cracking their professional interviews — took centre stage to showcase how NamAIste GPT has transformed their learning journey.

At IIHM Kolkata, Anubhab Shaw from Front Office presented an impressive demo of the IIHM Ready Reckoner GPT created under the NamAIste AI framework. Having secured Management Trainee selections with OCLD, Hyatt, Accor, The Lalit and The Park, Anubhab explained how NamAIste GPT helped him prepare for technical rounds, situational questions and brand-specific expectations. AI became his personal interview coach — refining answers, building confidence and simulating real-life scenarios.

In Ahmedabad, third-year student Tirth Borkhatariya demonstrated the NamAIste Hospitality GPT by navigating complex hospitality situations in seconds. From operational queries to brand SOPs, the AI tool showcased how students can access structured industry knowledge instantly, saving time while improving accuracy and professionalism.

The Goa campus highlighted practical hospitality intelligence. Lalith Hridul P from Rooms Division demonstrated how NamAIste GPT assists with guest problem-handling scenarios, communication refinement and understanding global guest expectations. Students showed how the tool provides detailed SOPs of leading hotel chains, step-by-step room cleaning standards, check-in and check-out procedures, and service recovery strategies. The demonstration clearly showed how AI strengthens coordination between departments, enhances empathy, and prepares students to handle real-world challenges even before their first job.

One of the most engaging moments came from Delhi, where a third-year student creatively demonstrated how the legendary “King of Cocktails,” Dale DeGroff, would craft the iconic Bloody Mary using NamAIste ChatGPT. The session concluded with a master tip inspired by DeGroff’s bartending philosophy — elevating a classic cocktail beyond technique into an experience. It was a perfect example of how AI can blend creativity with professional mastery.

Throughout AI Week, a powerful message emerged: AI is not replacing hospitality professionals — it is empowering them. NamAIste GPT is helping students learn faster, think deeper, communicate better and prepare smarter. From internships to placements, from service excellence to cultural sensitivity, AI is becoming an essential learning companion.

IIHM’s student-led Global Hospitality AI Summit demonstrated that the future of hospitality education is already here — practical, intelligent and human-centric. As India positions itself as a global AI leader, IIHM proudly stands at the intersection of technology and hospitality, shaping professionals who are ready for tomorrow.
